Out mushrooming in Coed y Garth this evening when I heard a faint tapping from the top of the tree I was standing next to.
I looked up and casual as you like was a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker working its way up the branch only ten or so feet away from me!
A first for Flintshire!
Bugger all else about though.
Until later.

ReplyDeleteGood to see you picked up a Lapland Bunting, was down at the old colliery site this morning but it was pretty quiet apart from lots of Mistle Thrushes?
Great to see Willow Tits in Garth Wood - not picked one up in Flintshire yet this year. I will have to have a look soon...
Cheers,
Paul.
